Night Time Skin Care Routine

First off, I’d like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! Hope everyone had an awesome day filled with lots of delicious food.

A little bit into some upcoming posts. I will be posting a DIY blog entry on how I reconstructed the t-shirt for my Biker Mercury cosplay. Not sure if I will just write a post about it or make a video & post it, but I’ll figure it out. I will also try and review some more beauty products that I’ve been using. I would like to post some easy DIY stuff you can make for the holidays coming up, but I’ll have to see if I have enough time for that.

I know I haven’t posted much beauty or DIY related posts lately, but with the holidays, it’s always difficult to find time to do the things that you want to do. I will try my best to blog when I can. 🙂 Hope ya’ll understand.

Today, I will be sharing my night time skin care routine with you guys. There are a couple different ways that I approach it, and I’ll give you the alternatives I use. I will list the products, what they’re used for, and how I use it in a list format below.

Night Time Skin Care Routine (used in this order):

1) Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser – Cleanser used for people with sensitive skin. I use this product to wash my face after I use a makeup remover wipe. It’s not too harsh on my skin. I try to use this on a daily basis. This has always been a “go to” product, so no complaints. I use it. That’s that.

2) Tony Moly Latte Art Cacao Pore Pack – Pore-tightening pack with moisturizing milk cream in cacao. I use this one at least once a week, at the most twice a week. After my face is clean, I will apply this product on my face and make sure it’s evenly distributed. Then I leave it on for about 15-20 minutes before I wash it off my face. It leaves my skin feeling refreshed & it makes me smell like chocolates. 😛

3) Believe in a Bottle: Moistfull Booskin – Booskin is a booster & skin toner combined. I use this maybe 3-4 times a week, depending on my mood. I just dab it on a cotton round & wipe it on my face. It removes dirt & oils that are still on the face. I think it works well.

4) Secret Key: Gold Racoony Hydro Gel Eye & Spot Patch – There are eye patches & spot patches for your eyes & blemish spot(s). It’s supposed to help hydrate the eyes and reduce irritation on problem areas. This product has a light fresh scent to it. The patches do hydrate the skin, but doesn’t seem to do anything else like reduce puffiness or darkness in the eyes. The spot patches does give a cooling effect, which sooth the skin. I use these 2-3 times a week. What’s cool about this is that after you use the patches, you can heat it up in hot water & use it as essence.

5) Etude House: Collagen Moistfull Sleeping Pack – A gel-like texture that you apply to the face before you sleep to keep the skin hydrated throughout the night. I try to apply it every night before going to sleep, especially with the cold weather. It’s important to keep the skin hydrated. I think this product does help overnight.

Sometimes, it’s important to take care of yourself. My mom always told me, “There’s no such thing as an ugly woman, only lazy woman.” I used to not care about skincare, but I started realizing that it’s very important. I have a friend who applies 9 or 10 different items on her face before she sleeps, so I think mine is not super complex. Plus, I don’t use all these products all the time.

Hope these brief descriptions & quick review helps those trying to decipher what products is best for him/her to use or try. Aside from the Cetaphil, everything else I mentioned is a Korean product. I’ve been obsessed over Korean beauty/skincare products for the longest time, so I really recommend trying their stuff.

Waiting

I sit in silence, waiting.
Waiting to hear something, anything.
In hopes of an answer that goes unanswered.

I hear the gentle running of the modem.
Rumbling as I hope to hear something else.
Nothing.

I look around the room in the dim lighting.
Memories flooded my mind like a downpour of rain.
A smile, a laugh, a touch.

I close my eyes in hopes to disengage the thoughts.
I’m back in the room again.
I sit in silence, waiting.

Relationship Advice #2 – Being Selfless

I feel like nowadays, there are many people who only think about themselves. I’m not sure if it’s the way people are being brought up, or if society has changed people’s thoughts on a lot of things. I’ve noticed people in general have become more selfish. They tend to only think about themselves and what they’re going to benefit from situations.

When you’re in a relationship, you can’t be selfish. You have to be selfless because you have to think about the other person as well. Sooner or later, if it does lead to marriage and children, you would have to think of the children as well. You can’t just think that you can do what you want and not worry about what your significant other thinks. You have to respect him/her.

If something comes up, let that person know about it (regardless if it’s your significant other, parents, or anyone else important in your life). Don’t stand your bf/gf up. Don’t do no call/no show. You wouldn’t do that at a job that you respect, so don’t do it to him/her. If he/she does something nice or sweet for you, let him/her know how much you appreciate it, and thank him/her. Think about his/her feelings. Not just your own.

If you are a workaholic, and you’re focused on your career. Make time for your boyfriend/girlfriend when you get a chance. Don’t neglect them. Don’t put them on the side and not worry about his/her feelings, especially if they’ve been through so much with you. Don’t just toss him/her to the side and talk to him/her when you feel like it. He/she has feelings too, and if you don’t treat ’em right, they might up & walk out of your life, and you’ll regret it later on.

Hope these random thoughts and what not helps.

1st Time

This was the 1st time that we met.
You arrived late.
I waited patiently.
You looked relaxed.
I was nervous.

This was the 1st time we held hands.
You casually held my hand in yours.
I wasn’t sure how to react.
You didn’t let go for awhile.
I smiled.

This was the 1st time that we kissed.
You stared into my eyes as if staring into my soul.
I blushed not knowing what to do.
You leaned in.
I closed my eyes.

This was the 1st time that we said, “I love you.”
You said it softly at the end of a conversation.
I wasn’t sure what to say.
You looked at me with the gentleness.
I said, “I love you too.”

This was the 1st time we lost faith.
You wouldn’t admit to your fault.
I asked you to tell me the truth.
You finally admitted your wrongdoings.
I replied that I’d give you a second chance.

This was the 1st time we questioned our trust.
You told me that ya’ll were just friends.
I believed you, but not the other person.
You said that I needed to trust you.
I did, but it was hard to trust fully.

This was the 1st time we moved forward.
You got your promotion at work.
I was happy for you.
You began working more and more.
I supported you.

This was the 1st time we had a big argument.
You were upset with me at something I said.
I just wanted quality time together.
You stopped talking to me for awhile.
I cried, and then stopped trying to contact you.

This was the 1st time we didn’t know what to do.
You couldn’t give me a direct answer.
I didn’t know how to respond.
You kept quiet, and didn’t say anything else.
I suggested some time apart.

This was the 1st time we spent this much time apart.
You wouldn’t call or text like you normally would.
I kept myself busy so I wouldn’t think so much.
You blocked me from a lot of social media.
I just kept quiet and carried on.

Biker/Punk (Bosozoku) Sailor Scouts

Hey everyone.

Another week has gone by. This past weekend, there was an anime convention in our area, and this was one of the shoots I was involved in. The concept of the Bosozoku (biker/punk) Sailor Scouts was created by Babs Tarr, so we were inspired by her artwork to cosplay these classic Sailor Scout characters with a twist. It’s always fun to think outside the box.

This cosplay was fun to do since I got to try my hand at reconstructing some clothing. I will probably post about how I reconstructed my t-shirt in another post. Working with my fellow cosplayers was fun (I will list everyone’s cosplay names below). It was also very awesome when Babs Tarr commented on our photo I posted on Instagram, tweeted it, and reposted it on her Tumblr. Very amazing feeling. 🙂
