Night Time Skin Care Routine

First off, I’d like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! Hope everyone had an awesome day filled with lots of delicious food.

A little bit into some upcoming posts. I will be posting a DIY blog entry on how I reconstructed the t-shirt for my Biker Mercury cosplay. Not sure if I will just write a post about it or make a video & post it, but I’ll figure it out. I will also try and review some more beauty products that I’ve been using. I would like to post some easy DIY stuff you can make for the holidays coming up, but I’ll have to see if I have enough time for that.

I know I haven’t posted much beauty or DIY related posts lately, but with the holidays, it’s always difficult to find time to do the things that you want to do. I will try my best to blog when I can. 🙂 Hope ya’ll understand.

Today, I will be sharing my night time skin care routine with you guys. There are a couple different ways that I approach it, and I’ll give you the alternatives I use. I will list the products, what they’re used for, and how I use it in a list format below.

Night Time Skin Care Routine (used in this order):

1) Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser – Cleanser used for people with sensitive skin. I use this product to wash my face after I use a makeup remover wipe. It’s not too harsh on my skin. I try to use this on a daily basis. This has always been a “go to” product, so no complaints. I use it. That’s that.

2) Tony Moly Latte Art Cacao Pore Pack – Pore-tightening pack with moisturizing milk cream in cacao. I use this one at least once a week, at the most twice a week. After my face is clean, I will apply this product on my face and make sure it’s evenly distributed. Then I leave it on for about 15-20 minutes before I wash it off my face. It leaves my skin feeling refreshed & it makes me smell like chocolates. 😛

3) Believe in a Bottle: Moistfull Booskin – Booskin is a booster & skin toner combined. I use this maybe 3-4 times a week, depending on my mood. I just dab it on a cotton round & wipe it on my face. It removes dirt & oils that are still on the face. I think it works well.

4) Secret Key: Gold Racoony Hydro Gel Eye & Spot Patch – There are eye patches & spot patches for your eyes & blemish spot(s). It’s supposed to help hydrate the eyes and reduce irritation on problem areas. This product has a light fresh scent to it. The patches do hydrate the skin, but doesn’t seem to do anything else like reduce puffiness or darkness in the eyes. The spot patches does give a cooling effect, which sooth the skin. I use these 2-3 times a week. What’s cool about this is that after you use the patches, you can heat it up in hot water & use it as essence.

5) Etude House: Collagen Moistfull Sleeping Pack – A gel-like texture that you apply to the face before you sleep to keep the skin hydrated throughout the night. I try to apply it every night before going to sleep, especially with the cold weather. It’s important to keep the skin hydrated. I think this product does help overnight.

Sometimes, it’s important to take care of yourself. My mom always told me, “There’s no such thing as an ugly woman, only lazy woman.” I used to not care about skincare, but I started realizing that it’s very important. I have a friend who applies 9 or 10 different items on her face before she sleeps, so I think mine is not super complex. Plus, I don’t use all these products all the time.

Hope these brief descriptions & quick review helps those trying to decipher what products is best for him/her to use or try. Aside from the Cetaphil, everything else I mentioned is a Korean product. I’ve been obsessed over Korean beauty/skincare products for the longest time, so I really recommend trying their stuff.

Mysterious Vampire Makeup Tutorial (Vampire Diaries Inspired)

I posted an Instagram picture about a year or two ago of a makeup look I came up with that was inspired by Elena/Katherine from Vampire Diaries. I never got around to making a tutorial video for that look, but since I was asked to post another video on Youtube again, I decided to recreate that look.

I hope you enjoy the video. Sorry in advanced for the not so great quality of splitting the video. I tried adding annotations to help explain what I was doing, and the products used are listed in the information box.

Please feel free to share a picture with me if you try this look.

Unboxing Memebox #11!

Unboxing Memebox #11!

Hey everyone! I just decided to make another Youtube video.

In today’s video, I am unboxing Memebox #11, which is a Korean monthly beauty subscription box (even though, you don’t have to get it monthly. haha).

Hope ya’ll enjoy the video!

P.S. I was a bit nervous.I haven’t made a video in awhile. Oh, & click the title to be linked to the video.

Black Canary Inspired Makeup Look! (eye makeup)

Hello, everyone! Long time no post. Haha. xD Sorry about that. Been busy.

So recently, I attended Comicpalooza again. This year, I cosplayed Black Canary on Saturday & the 11th doctor on Sunday (which was only for a few hours on Sunday since I was there for autographs). 😛

I decided to recreate my Black Canary Inspired Makeup Look that I did that day since it probably didn’t show in pictures since our Marvel Vs DC photoshoot consisted of 150 or so cosplayers, so there weren’t any closeups of me. Plus, it was super hot outside, but I made it without fainting! ^_^ (even though I was wearing black faux leather)

Attached in this blog post is my recreation of the Black Canary Inspired Makeup Look. It’s mainly the eye makeup. Used black, yellow, & gold eyeshadow colors. I wore some fake lashes & blue circle lenses.

Foodaholic: Bamboo Natural Essence Mask Review

Image

I know I usually post DIY stuff, but I thought I’d share some skin care/beauty stuff every once in awhile since I don’t blog about it on my other blog anymore. Haha. 😛

My usual “Go To” face mask is a Taiwan brand called My Beauty Diary, but I had gotten this Korean brand face mask by Foodaholic as a sample when I purchased a Korean bb cream, so I decided to do a review on it.

Product details:

23 grams

For skin soothing & supplying moisture

Optimum skin condition is maintained by bamboo extract to make elastic & moisturizing

3D shape natural pulp shape (v-shape bottom)

My review:

This mask is very interesting because compared to Taiwan’s My Beauty Diary mask(s), this mask is 3D shaped. The middle is lined up as if it was clasped together. The bottom has a v-shape to fit your chin, which MBD does not. I feel that this mask is more thick than MBD, but both have a light fresh scent to it. Moisture wise, I think it did an ok job. The mask dries up more quicker than the My Beauty Diary one, but I feel like there’s essence in the My Beauty Diary one than Foodaholic one. If I would rate this mask on a scale from 1 to 10 with 10 being the best, I’d give it a 6. I would still highly recommend My Beauty Diary face masks. 🙂

Poison Ivy Makeup Tutorial

I attended a Halloween party last night & decided to go as Poison Ivy. Though my costume that I was trying to make/put together didn’t go as I had planned, I ended up wearing a simple green skater dress from Urban Outfitters, along w/ some ankle boots. I focused more of my attention on my makeup look for the face. I hope my video (which was a recreation of last night’s look) will give a brief overview of how I achieved the look.

Oh ya. Yes, I know I was using the same ring finger a lot to apply eye makeup on, but every time I used a different color, I’d wipe my finger on a cleansing cloth on the table nearby.

August Ipsy Glam Bag Review

Image

Hello everyone! Sorry I’ve been away for awhile. I’ve been busy with school & work, so I haven’t had time to do any new crafty things (although I have been artsy at work) 😛 .

So, I figured I would do a review on the August Ipsy Glam Bag since it’s similar to stuff I’d post on Youtube before, except, I am not doing a “How To” tutorial. I’m just reviewing the products this time. I miss blogging, so I figured I’d give it a go. 😉

First off, let me just say that this month’s bag is super duper cute! The travel size bag is a purple & gold color with “Ipsy Glamour Academy” written on it. Okay so on to the products!

1) Pacifica Alight Multi-Mineral BB Cream: This product is supposed to change colors to match your shade as you apply it. To me, I feel as though this product felt more like a tinted moisturizer rather than a bb cream. There wasn’t as much coverage with this product when it came to concealing, but I think that the color did come out well. I think that this item would be good for travel uses, but personally, I would not purchase this item.

2) Noya’s Vanilla Lip Balm (Kosher Natural): First thing I noticed when I opened this was that this lip balm smelled delicious enough to eat! :3 I like the fact that this product is all natural, preservative free, & cruelty free. After applying it on, I did feel that it gave more moisture to my lips, so I really enjoyed this item. Only thing I’d say as a criticism would be that I kinda wish it had a hint of color in it.

3) Pixi’s Lash Booster Mascara: This cute little sample is portable and easy to use. I felt like it lengthening my lashes after application, and it didn’t feel too bulky like some mascaras. It was more of a natural look.

4) City Color Cheek Stain (Pink): This cheek stain came the most adorable little packaging with a pink heart on the side of the cap. This little item gives the biggest pop of color I have ever seen, so make sure if you use it to just use a tad. A little goes a long way. 🙂

5) Michael Todd’s Jojoba Charcoal Facial Scrub: This facial scrub is my favorite product from the bunch! I like that this product is organic & certified vegan. The scrub is supposed to exfoliate the skin & remove impurities. When using, remember that it is charcoal, so the color will be a dark grayish black color & has jojoba wax beads inside. After using this scrub, it left my face feeling extra smooth & refreshed, so I really liked this product.

Hope ya’ll enjoyed my review! You can see more photos that I post on my Instagram: Wushuqt. Have a wonderful Labor Day!
