DIY Sugar Cookie Body Scrub

Image

Posted this a few days ago on my Instagram: WushuQT

Found this recipe from beauty guru Pink So Foxy.

This body scrub has got to be the most delicious smelling body scrub I’ve ever come across! It makes me want to eat sugar cookies. It’s crazy! XD I must say that this recipe is easy to follow. The only downside is getting the Monoi Tiki Tahiti Vanilla Oil is slightly difficult since I don’t know where they sell it in my area, so I have to buy it online. I tried this body scrub the other day and I must say that it does leave my skin smooth. 1 little tip would be don’t scrub too hard when exfoliating, and another tip is a little goes a long way. 🙂

Ingredients:

1/2 cup coconut oil

1/2 cup monoi oil (vanilla)

2 cups cane sugar

Just mix all the ingredients together & then put it in a container of your choice! I used a glass jar I had around the house.

Maybe with Spring in the air, many of ya’ll will want to try this tasty treat for your body. Enjoy!

Onigiri with Omusubiyama & Seaweed

Image

Photo was from my instagram (username is wushuqt): http://instagram.com/p/j0fw4oF-9H/

Hello everyone!

Long time no post. 🙂 Today I’m going to tell you guys how I made this Onigiri, which is Japanese for rice ball(s).

All you’ll need is a rice cooker, rice, some omusubiyama seasoning (I got the veggie kind from a local Japanese market), seaweed (optional), water, and vinegar for sushi (optional).

1) First, cook the rice.

2) Add the omusubiya seasoning to the rice using the measurements in the packaging.

3) Add vinegar to rice (if you want to).

4) Making sure your hands are clean first, dampen your hands with water to make sure the rice doesn’t stick to your hands.

5) Get some rice with your hands, and mold into a triangular shape.

6) Use water to dampen the seaweed and add it to the rice ball (optional).

Tada! Easy peasy!!!

Hope you guys enjoy my blog!

Poison Ivy Makeup Tutorial

I attended a Halloween party last night & decided to go as Poison Ivy. Though my costume that I was trying to make/put together didn’t go as I had planned, I ended up wearing a simple green skater dress from Urban Outfitters, along w/ some ankle boots. I focused more of my attention on my makeup look for the face. I hope my video (which was a recreation of last night’s look) will give a brief overview of how I achieved the look.

Oh ya. Yes, I know I was using the same ring finger a lot to apply eye makeup on, but every time I used a different color, I’d wipe my finger on a cleansing cloth on the table nearby.

Halloween Nail Art tutorial – Bat

Image

Hello, Everyone!

Want to get into the Halloween spirit?

Today, I’ll be explaining how to create this cute bat design I made. Hope ya’ll enjoy it. Please continue reading until the end, and you can see the end results along with other nail art designs I recreated from my friend’s tutorial.

1) First, you’re going to coat your nail(s) with a base coat.

2) Then taking a color of your choice: blue, orange, etc., I chose blue, you will paint that color on your nail(s) after your base coat dries.

3) Taking a black nail polish color & a small brush, you will paint a circle on your nail(s). On top of the circle, you will paint 2 tiny triangles for ears &  towards either the left or right side on the bottom of the circle, you will draw little marks like I did for the feet. After that, you will take your brush and black polish, and draw two lines on each side of the circle going upwards just slightly to the diagonal corner, and then draw black lines of half a circle from there going downward (please see photo for image).

4) When your design for the bat has dried, take a white nail polish and a dotting tool and dot 2 white dots on the bat.

5) Going back to the black nail polish, you’ll take a dotting tool and apply 2 black dots on top of the 2 white dots when it has dried.

6) Apply a top coat on top, and you’re finished! You can also take a cotton swab and nail polish remover to clean the sides of your nail(s).

DIY Splint

IMAG2587b

No one can really predict anything that is about to happen. Yesterday, my finger got caught in the leash wrapped around my hands & the chocolate lab I was walking took off running, leaving a pop sound coming from my finger.

After icing it, I found some popsicle sticks around the house & taped it with sports tape. Thus, leaving me with this DIY splint showed in the picture.

A nurse practitioner told me that I did a good job, and that it’s an old boy scout method. Haha. Hopefully, this will help so that I don’t bend my finger much, affecting my ligament(s) in my finger. XD
